World Press Freedom Day Observed in Bangladesh and Worldwide

World Press Freedom Day was observed on Sunday across Bangladesh and globally, with the theme “Shaping a Future at Peace: Promoting Press Freedom for Human Rights, Development, and Security.” May 3 marks the annual observance, which focuses on evaluating press freedom and defending media independence against attacks.

In Dhaka, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting organized a rally and discussion to highlight the role of media in promoting transparency and accountability in the digital age. Information and Broadcasting Minister attended the event as the chief guest.
