World COVID-19 Update: Over 755.38 million confirmed cases on February 21

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 2 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 4,385 patients within 24 hours.

At the time of the report, there’s no patient who died due to the disease while 4 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar reached 633,903 with 19,490 deaths and 614,374 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals. The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, China, India, France, Germany, Brazil, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Italy, the United Kingdom, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:24 pm CET, 21 February 2023, there have been over 757.26 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.85 million deaths.
