Work Undertakings: Solar pumping, youth training school & sports event

Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Ko Lay and officials inspected the solar-powered water pumping system at Zee Phyu Kone ward in Khamti Township on July 23 to ensure adequate drinking water supply for local residents.

They reviewed the operation of the system, which comprises two 590-watt solar arrays, two 60 Nos arrays and a 15-horsepower pump from the Chindwin River. The Chief Minister heard reports on system performance and water distribution He also coordinated requirements and inspected the pumping station and solar panel installation.

The Chief Minister later visited the Training School for Development of Nationalities Youth from Border Areas in Khamti Township and inspected student education and school administration on 2026–2027 academic year. He inspected dormitories, dining halls, kitchens and the school compound and instructed officials to maintain cleanliness and cultivate kitchen crops for staff and students.

On July 24, the Chief Minister and party attended the Chief Minister's Cup U23 Men’s and Women’s Sepak Takraw Tournaments finals and awarding ceremony at the public sports ground in Monywa. He watched the men's four-player final event, where Ye-U Township defeated Monywa Township by 2-1. Medals and Cash prizes were awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize-winning teams of Men’s 4-player and Women’s 3-player Sepak Takraw Tournament.
