Work Undertakings : Ethnic Affairs, school enrollment and development works

Under the supervision of Rakhine State Government, Ethnic Rights Protection Department organized a sharing session on ethnic affairs awareness and assessing and planning community-based vocational requirements in Sittwe on Wednesday.

Chief Minister U Naing Oo clarified the purpose of the awareness session which is to encourage the ethnic nationals to widen their understanding in laws, policies and ethnic rights matters in order to fully acquire the opportunities and protections. He also highlighted the assessments on community-based vocational requirements to conduct vocational training courses aiming to enhance socio-economic status of the ethnic nationals.

The Chief Minister provided 7.2 million kyat cash assistance for the ceremonies and cordially greeted the attendees. On 18th May, the Chief Minister and party visited basic education schools within Sittwe Township and inspected the preparations for upcoming school enrollment season, curriculums and teaching aids, cleaniness, water and electricity access, sanitation and facelifting of the schools. Subsequently, the Chief Minister and party proceeded to Sittwe Shipyard,  inspected the docking and slipway condition as well as the draft of Set Yoe Kya Creek.
