Work Coordination Meeting: Reopening of basic education schools discussed

A work coordination meeting was held in Monywa of Sagaing Region on Thursday, to discuss reopening of basic education schools that were previously closed due to various issues.

Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw emphasized the need for cooperation from all responsible parties to ensure schools can reopen fully and provide a peaceful learning environment for students. He urged education officers and school principals to work together with local communities to maintain school facilities, ensure cleanliness, and provide sufficient teaching materials.

The Sagaing Region Education Officer also provided updates on the status of schools in various districts and outlined the challenges faced in reopening. The school principals shared reports on the management, teaching conditions, and the availability of school infrastructure and supplies in their areas.

The Chief Minister reassured that the government will work on addressing the needs to reopen schools across the region.
