Wildfire breaks out in central Thailand

A forest fire broke out in Nakhon Nayok province, 114 kilometers northeast of Bangkok on Wednesday night. The fire started on a high part of the Khao Chaplu Mountain which have made it impossible for forest firefighters to access and the fire had also spread to the adjacent Khao Laem Mountain.

Separate forest fires have also been raging in the country's north.In the suburban region of Mae Tang, Chiang Mai around 18,000 liters of water have been extinguished from the air in efforts to end a forest fire there.Amid the ongoing wildfire, the provincial governor was at the scene to assess the situation.
