WHO chief says "no sign" of a larger hantavirus outbreak

The Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez met WHO Chief on Tuesday after more than 120 passengers and crew on the MV Hondius cruise were flown out from Spain's Canary Islands on 10 and 11 May. 

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, World Health Organization Chief said Our work is not over. WHO will continue to work closely with experts in all affected countries. We have also requested countries to report regularly to WHO on the health and well-being of passengers and crew through the international health regulations.”

Most countries have followed the WHO's guidelines, which include a 42-day quarantine and constant monitoring of high-risk contacts.
