Welcoming New Year: Maha Thingyan Festival Celebration

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and the Ministry of International Cooperation (MoIC) celebrated the Maha Thingyan Festival on a-kyo nei, the first day of Thingyan festival, on Wednesday.

The festival was attended by the MoIC Union Minister, the MoFA deputy minister, permanent secretary, directors-general and departmental staff.

First, the union minister and the deputy minister made opening speeches and extended best wishes.

Then, the dance troupes of two ministries performed Thingyan dances. The participants also enjoyed Myanmar traditional foods at the festival.
