Welcome ceremony for Pope at palace in Kinshasa

A welcome ceremony was held for Pope Francis at the Palais de la Nation in Kinshasa on Tuesday.The pontiff sat with Félix Tshisekedi, President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and greeted officials.Francis is aiming to bring a message of peace, a warning to the international community to not look the other way and a recognition that Africa is the future of the Catholic Church.The continent is one of the only places on Earth where the Catholic flock is growing.
