





Led by the Bago Region Government, a collective cleaning activity was carried out simultaneously in all 28 townships across the region on the morning of August 29 as part of the weekly Saturday initiative to keep townships and villages clean, pleasant, and beautiful.
First, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win and members of the region government inspected and encouraged the collective cleaning activities being carried out by Tatmadaw personnel, police officers, firefighters, departmental staff, and local residents on the platform and surrounding areas of the historic Kyaik Pyinnyaya Pagoda.
The Chief Minister instructed the officials concerned to continuously maintain the pagoda in a dignified, neat, and admirable condition, keep the precinct clean and orderly, and ensure that the surrounding environment remains green and well-maintained.
Led by the Bago Region Government, collective cleaning activities were also carried out at public roads on both sides, railway lines on both sides, universities, degree colleges, schools, hospitals, religious buildings, departmental offices, roadsides within wards, parks, and drinking-water ponds across all 28 townships in the region.
The activities were jointly undertaken by departmental personnel at the region, district, and township levels, members of military units, and local residents, it’s reported.
