







The opening ceremony of the Weaving and Production Technology Training Courses under the Small-Scale Production Business Creation and Rural Household Income Enhancement Project, organized by the Rakhine State Department of Small-Scale Industries, was held at the Khaing Thazin Hall in Sittwe on September 23. Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin attended and delivered the opening address.
At the opening ceremony, State Chief Minister U Htein Lin stated that the State Government is conducting vocational training courses and small-scale production business creation initiatives, including the Rural Household Income Enhancement Project training courses, to genuinely provide employment income and improve the socio-economic lives of the people. For each project training course, five outstanding trainees who wish to establish businesses will be selected and provided with working tools to help them set up their own self-reliant enterprises. He urged the trainees to apply the skills learned during the training to systematically operate their own small-scale production businesses within their regions.
Following this, the State Minister for Transport handed over raw materials for the training courses to the trainees, who accepted them.
The State Chief Minister and officials then took documentary photographs with the trainees, toured the raw materials and teaching aids displayed in the hall, and warmly met and greeted the trainees.
Afterward, the State Chief Minister and his wife, along with officials, visited the Weaving and Vocational Training School (Sittwe). They observed the practical training sessions being conducted by instructors for the trainees, toured the dining hall, and coordinated with responsible officials to address necessary requirements.
Later, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin attended a coordination meeting held at the meeting hall of the Rakhine State Government Office regarding the preparation and submission of budget estimates for the 2026-2027 fiscal year for state-level departments and organizations, it’s reported.
