Water Supply: 70 Projects Underway In Villages Of Mandalay Region

Department of Rural Development has been working to supply purified water to locals in Mandalay Region. In the Region, 70 water supply projects are underway in 70 villages.

Digging deep wells and ponds, building high water tanks and electricity access are included in the project. High water tanks will be used for distribution of water to each house in villages. The Department of Rural Development has been carrying out purified water supply projects annually. 

In addition to water supply projects, Department of Rural Development has been carrying out rural electrification and construction of farm-to-market rural roads and maintenance activities, rural housings, jobs creation, business opportunities, capacity building and vocational trainings, small-scale infrastructure development, livelihood enhancement and various research activities.
