Visiting Roof Tile Production: MoI UM visited roof tile production in Kyaing Tong

As part of the delegation accompanying the Acting President Chairman of the State Security and Peace Council on a regional development tour of Shan State, Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than, together with Deputy Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Thaik Soe, arrived at a roof tile production business in Wan Ha Village, Kyaing Tong District, on January 19. Responsible officials briefed them on the operational status of the business, and the Union Minister inspected the step-by-step production process of the roof tiles.

During the inspection, the Union Minister stated that the Ministry of Industry serves as the focal ministry for the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). He explained that the ministry is coordinating with relevant departments to support MSME growth through, access to technology, access to financial capital, human resource development and market access. He noted that the visit aimed to understand the current progress and specific needs of MSME entrepreneurs firsthand. Following that, he provided the necessary guidance to address their requirements.

Afterward, the Union Minister and Deputy Minister visited the Kyaing Tong District Office of Industrial Supervision and Inspection. They met with staff from both the Department of Industrial Supervision and Inspection and the Ministry of Cooperative and Rural Development to discuss and coordinate future action plans for the development of the roof tile production industry. The Deputy Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development then discussed recommended procedures for MSME development and coordinated solutions based on the reports presented.
