Visit in Myanmar: Union Minister meets special envoy of ASEAN Chair

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin received Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia and special envoy of the ASEAN Chair PrakSokhonn and Secretary-General of ASEAN Dato Lim Jock Hoi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw on 21st March.

During the meeting, Union Minister explained that the implementation of the five-point consensus must be Myanmar-owned and Myanmar-led process. He also highlighted that special envoy’s first visit to Myanmar would pave the way for confidence building and understanding to promote cooperation in ASEAN.

On the implementation of the five-point consensus, Union Minister reiterated that Myanmar is committed to continuing its cooperation with the ASEAN and that Myanmar’s commitment was shown in deed since the ASEAN Leaders’ Meeting in Jakarta.

Later in the evening, Union Minister hosted dinner for special envoy of the ASEAN Chair and Secretary General of ASEAN at the MGallery Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw.
