Vietnam, Israel aim to expand economic cooperation

Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Bar kat on Wednesday in Hanoi. At the meeting, the Vietnamese Prime Minister emphasized that the two economies can complement each other for mutual development, and proposed the two sides increase delegation exchanges at all levels to promote more substantive cooperation in the economy, trade and investment.

He congratulated the two countries on the signing of the bilateral free trade agreement. He also proposed to promote cooperation in the fields of Israel's strengths such as innovation, hi-tech application in agriculture, drought response, climate change and new fields. Minister Nir Bar kat affirmed that the Israeli Government always considers Vietnam an important partner in the region. He supports and coordinates with ministries and sectors to promote multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Israel.
