Viet Nam's ASEAN drug solutions

The eighth ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Drug Matters was held on Friday in Vientiane, Laos. Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Public Security attended the meeting and suggested major solutions for the ASEAN bloc to improve the efficiency of anti-drug cooperation.

At the regional level, ASEAN member countries should maintain and improve the efficiency of their existing cooperation mechanisms. At the national level, the countries should work to improve the quality of information exchange, share experiences in drug combat, and conduct joint patrols.

The Deputy Minister also suggested ASEAN countries foster cooperation with partner countries and increase dialogues to improve capabilities for law enforcement forces and equipment supply.
