Viet Nam team impresses in the Women's World Cup 2023

The Viet Nam women’s national football team kicked off their first World Cup campaign with a brave performance against the reigning champions, the US, on Saturday. Despite a tough game, losing only 3-0 against the defending champions was a better result than many home fans expected.

Vietnam's goalkeeper was among Vietnam’s best players, denying many chances from the opponent, including star forward Alex Morgan's penalty in the 44th minute. Vietnam's next match in the group stage will be against Portugal on 27 July.
