Viet Nam-Ethiopia deepen trade ties

Vietnamese Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng held talks with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali on Saturday during the BRICS Summit in New Delhi.

During the meeting, The Vietnamese Prime Minister congratulated the Ethiopian Government, people and Prosperity Party on the success of the country’s seventh general election. He described Ethiopia as an important gateway to the wider African market, and called for stronger delegation exchanges and a stronger legal framework for investment and trade.

Meanwhile Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali described Viet Nam as a trusted and priority partner in the Asia-Pacific, and pledged to facilitate Vietnamese businesses investing and operating in Ethiopia. The two sides also agreed to continue close coordination at multilateral forums.
