

On Viet Nam’s 78th National Day, several commemorative activities were held in Cuba, the United Arab Emirates and South Korea on Saturday.
In Cuba, the Vietnamese Embassy organized a memorial for President Ho Chi Minh at the park named in his honour in the capital, Habana.
Cuban media also published a congratulatory message from the Cuban leader to senior leaders and the people of Viet Nam, affirming the desire to promote further the special traditional relationship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
In the United Arab Emirates, the Vietnamese national flag was unfurled on the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. This special UAE gesture shows respect to important friends and partners.
Meanwhile, in South Korea, the Vietnamese national flag also flew on Namsan Tower and the Seoul City Hall. This is the first time Seoul has flown the Vietnamese flag on Viet Nam’s National Day.
