Venezuela signs oil, gas deals with Suriname

Venezuela and Suriname on Friday signed a comprehensive hydrocarbon cooperation roadmap and 10 total bilateral agreements during an official visit by Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez. Signed by Venezuelan Hydrocarbons Minister and Surinamese officials at the Presidential Palace, the roadmap established a structured framework for energy sector collaboration.

Venezuela agreed to make its extensive oil and gas exploration and production experience available to Suriname, utilizing institutions like the UVH, Intevep, and the Anton de Kom University of Suriname for joint research and personnel training.
