Venezuela fines TikTok $10 million for deadly challenges

Venezuela's highest court fines TikTok $10 million in connection with viral challenges that authorities said left three adolescents dead from intoxication by chemical substances.

The Supreme Tribunal of Justice Judge said that the popular video app had been negligent in failing to implement "necessary and adequate measures" to stop the spread of content encouraging the challenges.

 Venezuelan authorities have blamed video challenges on TikTok for the deaths of three children who died after taking chemical substances.
