One Million doses of coronavirus vaccines from the U.S. arrived in South Korea on Saturday. The shipment of Johnson and Johnson vaccines comes following a pledge by U.S. President Joe Biden at the South Korea-U.S. summit in Washington last month. South Korean Deputy Defence Minister, Park Jae Min, thanked the U.S. for the vaccines and said he hoped the arrival would speed up the country's vaccination programme. Acting U.S Ambassador to South Korea, Robert Rapson, said the shipment showed the strength of the relationship between the two countries. The vaccines will be used instead to inoculate South Korean military reservists.
