The leaders of the US, Japan and South Korea held talks on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Madrid on Wednesday.
US President Joe Biden, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida are attending the summit as the alliance looks to strengthen its ties in the Indo-Pacific region. The three leaders discussed North Korea’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs, which Biden said the three found “deeply concerning." Biden said the meeting was an opportunity for the leaders to coordinate a shared response, as the isolated nation may soon conduct another nuclear test.
