US soldiers taking part in "Africa Lion 2026" joint exercise in Morocco

US soldiers taking part in the "African Lion 2026" joint exercise at Cap Draa, near Tan Tan in Morocco on April 26. Two US service members taking part in the exercise in southern Morocco have gone missing, military authorities from both countries say, adding that a search is underway.

The "African Lion 2026" military exercise began late last month in the southern city of Agadir, bringing together nearly 5,000 military personnel from more than 40 countries until May 8.
