Urban Development: President inspects development works in Pyin Oo Lwin

President U Min Aung Hlaing inspected Pyin Oo Lwin urban development and socio-economic development activities on Saturday.

At the construction site of the entrance road to the Central Fire Service Training Centre, the President and party inspected the completion of road construction and stressed on good drainage system, standardized concrete paving, road shoulders installation, shade tree plantation along the road, as well as systematic fencing of the training centers along the road.

He also gave instructions to construct a sports ground within ZeePinGyi Basic Education High School compound. They then made a tour along the road and coordinated necessities. Upon arrival at Yadanabon Teleport Building in Yadanabon New City Project area, the President heard report on tasks undertaking, ever green areas implementation, operation status of the factories within cyber city industrial plot, restoration process and systematic utilization of the buildings and facility in cyber city project area and investment opportunities.

Upon reports, the President stressed on proper plot allocation for new enterprise in cyber city project area and job creations for technological graduates. He also emphasized on defining project area and its boundaries, greening and strict supervision to prevent encroachment into project area.

Later, the President and party inspected Incubation Center, industries, workshops and housings within project area and fulfilled necessities. At the Silk Factory (Pyin Oo Lwin), the President heard reports on land utilization, annual mulberry plantations, silk production, value-added product manufacturing and the difficulties encountered. He encouraged to accelerate research activities and human resource development.

Then, the President and party oversaw the step-by-step silk production and displayed ancient silk weaving machines and provided cash assistance for the staff.
