Union Day Commemoration: Htamane Making Competition & Ethnic Foods Festival

To commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Union Day falling on the 12th of February 2022, the Pyinmana Agricultural Institute held Htamane (glutinous rice) making competition and ethnic foods festival on Friday.

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Tin Htut Oo attended this event and stressed the need to conduct vegetables and meat nutrition awareness programmes among the public which should include traditional and ethnic foods.

The Union Minister viewed and encouraged the Htamane (glutinous rice) making competition and ethnic foods making. Prizes were awarded to winners at the Htamane (glutinous rice) making competition. The Union Minister and participants enjoyed the ethnic foods served at the event.
