The UK's first sauna arts center combines sauna with theatre

The UK's first purpose-built sauna arts center, called Sauna Theatre, has debuted at the Summerhall Arts venue during the August 2026. This innovative modular space merges wellness culture with live performance, hosting theatrical shows and literary salons. Heated to around 90°C with an 80-person capacity, the sauna combines high heat, surround sound, custom lighting, and cold plunge ice baths, requiring guests to wear swimwear.
