UK PM Keir Starmer hosts Japanese counterpart SanaeTakaichi in London

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer hosted his Japanese counterpart Sanae Takaichi at Downing Street in London on Sunday.

The leaders announced a landmark £18 billion investment and technology partnership, covering advanced tech like AI and semiconductors, clean energy, and joint defense projects. Takaichi committed a five-year investment pipeline that includes up to £9 billion directed at the UK's offshore wind sector and an additional £9 billion for infrastructure and financial services.
