UFC Flyweight Championship: Joshua Van defends his championship title

Joshua Van, a 24-year-old Chin ethnic fighter from Myanmar, defended his UFC flyweight championship after defeating Japan’s Tatsuro Taira by fifth-round stoppage at UFC 328 in the United States.

Van retained his title with a stoppage victory at 1 minute and 32 seconds of the final round. Despite being taken down repeatedly during the fight, Van dominated the striking exchanges, landing 131 significant strikes compared to Taira’s 55. The victory marked Van’s first official flyweight title defense. Van is currently the second-youngest UFC champion and has recorded 10 wins in 11 UFC appearances.
