UEC Notification : UEC issues Notification No.16/2026

The Union Election Commission issued Notification No.16/2026 on Saturday, regarding the announcement of the list of names elected as the Amyotha Hluttaw Representatives.

The notification states that according to the notifications issued by the relevant Region or State Election Sub-Commissions in accordance with Section 49(b) of the Amyotha Hluttaw Election Law for the Multi-Party Democracy General Election conducted in phases starting from December 28, 2025.

47 individuals are hereby declared elected as the Hluttaw Representatives for the Amyotha Hluttaw in respective constituencies of Kachin State, Kayah State, Kayin State, Sagaing Region, Tanintharyi Region, Bago Region, Magway Region, Mon State, Yangon Region, and Shan State. The detailed vote counts for each Amyotha Hluttaw candidate will be published in daily newspapers and also posted on the Union Election Commission Office's website: www.uec.gov.mm.
