Turtle released back to sea

An 11 kg endangered Vich Sea turtle was released back to sea, Deo Ngang Border Guard Station Command, Ha Tinh Province of Viet Nam, has announced.

The Vich Sea turtle was found to be in normal health, weighing 11 kg, 40 cm long, and 27 cm wide.

This sea turtle was caught by a fisherman while catching seafood in the waters of Ky Nam commune, Ky Anh town, Ha Tinh province.

After discovering this was a rare sea turtle, the fishermen handed it to the authorities to return it to the sea.
