Turkiye Water Sports bring athletes and nature enthusiasts

The International Rumkale Water Sports Festival, which has become a traditional event organized by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, brought athletes and nature enthusiasts together along the banks of the Euphrates.

The week-long program offered spectators thrilling moments with dragon boat races and flyboard, jet ski, jet car, paramotor and banana-boat demonstrations. One of the festival’s most significant sporting events, the Türkiye Dragon Boat Competition, saw 740 athletes from 37 teams compete.

Ten teams represented Gaziantep in the races, where athletes battled fiercely on the waters of the Euphrates to secure a place on the podium. The competition, which showcased the teams’ coordination, endurance and determination, attracted considerable attention from spectators.
