Government and Tatmadaw efforts have reopened the Mandalay–Myitkyina transport route, crucial for northern development.

On May 12, vehicles carrying government staff and essential goods, including food, construction materials, medicines, and school supplies, were sent from Mandalay to Myitkyina. The return journey of these vehicles on May 15 brought goods and personnel back to Mandalay, including local residents seeking medical care and government staff delayed by travel challenges.

The reopening allows regular travel and trade, improving daily life, healthcare, and education along the route. Local communities have expressed gratitude to the government and Tatmadaw for restoring stability and supporting regional reconstruction.
