Tourism Sector: Inspection Of Cleanliness And Plan For Tourist City

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Htay Aung made inspections in Shan State. First, on Monday afternoon, the Union Minister together with many other officials inspected the Inle Lake cleanliness works.

In Nyaungshwe Township, he also attended a meeting on hotels and tourism sector development, stressed importance of cooperation with locals and called for short-term and long-term plans for socioeconomic status of locals and conservation of heritage including the Inle Lake.

After the meeting, the Union Minister visited Namu International Co., Ltd and viewed the Taro plant drying process for export. On Tuesday, in Kalaw Township, the Union Minister attended a meeting with officials and called for cooperation on efforts for upgrading Kalaw Township into a Tourist City with the Shan State Government budget during the fiscal year of 2022/2023.
