Tourism Promotion: Union Minister discussed tourism development plans

Aiming to develop tourism industry between Myanmar and Russia, to attract more Russian tourists to Myanmar, and to provide better services, the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism is making cooperative efforts with the officials from the government and private organizations of Russia.

On Friday, Union Minister Dr Htay Aung met with the service personnel who studied in Russia via video conference. The Union Minister discussed that the ministry is making accelerated efforts for tourism promotion between the two countries. Plans are underway to pay friendly visit to Russia with the comprise of private organizations. Moreover, the ministry will lead the private organizations to participate in the Russian Tourism Expo.

He called for suggestions of the scholars who came back from Russia in tourism promotion plans. The attendees reported on the programs being implemented by the respective ministries, conducting of Russian speaking classes and suggestions for providing convenient measures for the Russian tourists.
