



The infrastructures needed for production of movies and TV programs are under construction in Pindaya Township of Danu Self-administered Zone in Shan State.
Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Htay Aung and officials on 6th December visited the construction site and heard reports on implementation of the project by dividing five zones. The Union Minister said Pindaya is a place where local and foreign tourists use to visit. The emergence of movie production infrastructures could attract more visitors and also create job opportunities for the locals.
He also stressed for consideration of social and environmental matters. The Union Minister later met with the Shan State Minister and hoteliers in Pindaya and stressed for sustainability of tourism as well as health and environmental conservation matters. On arrival at MyoGyi Multi-purpose Dam project in YwaNgan Township, the Union Minister stressed for implementation of rural based tourism.
Later in the day, the Union Minister met with the Mandalay Region Minister and officials from the hotel industry, and stressed to carry out the tasks amid the COVID-19 outbreak, paying emphasis on the health. On the 7th, the Union Minister met with hoteliers and tour agencies in PyinOoLwin and stressed for providing better services for the tourists in line with the COVID-19 preventive guidelines.
