Tourism Industry Development: Magway Region organizes capacity building workshop

A workshop on capacity building in the hotels and tourism sector for 2022 was held at in Magway Region on Friday.
At the event, Magway Region Chief Minister U Twint Lwin said that the workshop is aimed for the emergence of tourist destination with the leadership of the Regional Tourism Committee, creating job opportunities and increasing income from the tourism industry and sustainable environmental conservation.
The hotels and tourism industry is a business that has to pay taxes to the state and the income from tourism is defined as the "multiplier" income.
That’s why, those who operate this industry that has a good prospect for the business needs to understand more rules and regulations and procedures as well as do’s and don’ts to be able to stand more firmly as a complete business.
The Chief Minister called for the participants in the workshop to discuss extensively the facts that they would like to know and striving for the development of tourism sector in Magway region through Public-Private Partnerships.
The Region Chief Minister then presented Health and Safety Protocol National Level (HSP) certifications to Htein Htein Tha Hotel-1 and Myint Mo San Hotel.
The Chairman of Myanmar Hoteliers Association (Magway) Zone also presented commemorative gifts to heads of departments who discussed about the laws. At the workshop, the participants asked further information to the speakers.
