Tourism Development: Meeting with hoteliers in Mandalay

In order to promote Upper Myanmar tourism sector, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung met with the hoteliers and entrepreneurs related to hotels and tourism in Mandalay on Thursday.

During the meeting, the Union Minister said the Central Committee on National Tourism Development was formed under Myanmar Tourism Law for tourism development.

The Union Minister urged all stakeholders for preservation of tourist attraction spots and establishing new tourist destination places in collaboration among related departments in regions and states.

As the ministry is providing necessary assistance, the Union Minister called for providing information of tourist destinations to the visitors in respective regions and state and conducting training courses in cooperation with related departments and organizations. The Deputy Permanent Secretary and Director of the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism Mandalay Branch replied the queries of the attendees.

The Union Minister coordinated the requirement and gave concluding remark.
