Tour in Shan State: MOHT Deputy Minister tours in southern Shan State

Deputy Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Phyo Zaw Soe visited the southern part of Shan State to support the development of tourism and hotel businesses.

On September 30, he toured cultural exhibition halls and famous pagodas in Moe Nae, urging locals to keep tourist sites clean, attractive, and ready for visitors.

On October 1, the Deputy Minister visited monasteries in Mongpan, donating offerings and supplies. He then met with local authorities, tourism-related business owners, and community leaders to discuss promoting Mongpan as a tourist destination. He highlighted the area's natural beauty, cool climate, and rich culture, stressing that tourism growth would create jobs and boost the local economy. He encouraged collaboration among private sectors, locals, and authorities to improve services, hygiene, safety, and the promotion of local traditions and small businesses.

The Deputy Minister later visited Mongpan People's Hospital and provided cash assistance for patients and medical supplies.
