

















A ceremony to provide seeds and inputs for members of cooperative association Sunflower cultivators in townships of Taunggyi, Pindaya and NyaungShwe through Post-harvest repayment system was held at the office of General Administrative Department in NyaungShwe of Southern Shan State on 20th September.
An official from Cooperative Department made clarification on providing seeds and inputs to the member farmers. Union Minister for Cooperative and Rural Development U Hla Moe urged to strive to meet the targeted yield through the practicing of 4-cultivation methods.
After coordinating the needs, the Union Minister and State Transport Minister provided seeds and inputs worth 1.5 billion Kyats to (25) Cooperative Associations. Next, the Union Minister and party visited InnPawKhone Smart Village in Inle area and observed the weaving industry.
They then attended a ceremony to transfer funds of Rural Development Department. Official reported on the status of rehabilitation in Mandalay quake’s affected villages, Smart village project, and other issues. Upon the report, the Union Minister instructed the necessaries and coordinated the needs.
At the event, 825 million kyats fund for (48) villages were transferred to members of the village committees. Afterwards, the Union Minister and party visited the Natural Dying Class, organized by Departments of State Small-Scale Industries and NaungShwe Rural Development where they encouraged the trainees.
Next, they paid homage to Inle PhaungDawOo Buddha Image and offered flower, water, gold foils and cash while observing the renovation of pagoda affected by earthquake. Later, they visited Cooperative Accounting Vocational Training School in Taunggyi where they met with the principal, teachers and students and inspected the completion of repair of earthquake affected buildings.
