Tour in Lashio: Development works in Lashio inspected

On 10th September, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung accompanied by concerned officials made an inspection tour within Lashio Township for regional development.

On arrival at Shan State Government Avenue, the Chief Minister inspected the guest hall, meeting room, dining room and dormitories and provided necessary instructions. Then, the Chief Minister and party proceeded to Kaung Khar Village, inspected the model plots arrangement and attended the fertilizer broadcasting ceremony.

During the ceremony, the Chief Minister heard reports on condition of the plots, modern planting techniques and systematic usage of Pearl fertilizer and provided personal protective equipment used in fertilizer broadcasting. He also assured to provide sunflower seeds and agricultural inputs to accelerate multi-cropping system.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister and party oversaw the fertilizer broadcasting at model plot and coordinated necessities for better drainage system near model plot.

Then, the Chief Minister and party attended the Agricultural inputs provision and technology sharing event at Lashio Township Agricultural Department.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister encouraged to meet target yield, to engage in systematic cultivation methods using pedigree seeds and to raise awareness among farmers. The Chief Minister also called for the collaborative efforts of relevant officials and farmers to ensure good agriculture methods and to provide necessary agricultural inputs and assistance for the regional development. Then, the agricultural inputs were provided to the farmers. The Chief Minister and party also made a tour to the exhibition and oversaw the edible oil distribution to the farmers at reasonable prices.

At Lashio People’s Hospital, the Chief Minister and party inspected laboratory room, blood bank, X-ray room and 50 KW solar powered generation process. The Chief Minister also comforted the patients and provided nutritional supplements. At Nursing Training School, the Chief Minister cordially met with the trainees and provided cash assistance.

Later, the Chief Minister visited Myanma Economic Bank in Lashio, oversaw the solar powered generation system, and pension withdrawal process.

Next, the Chief Minister inspected the renovation process of Lashio City Hall, teaching and learning condition at No.2 Basic Education High School and awareness sharing and demonstration of MEVM at Thiri Mingalar Mansu Shan Monastery. At Basic Foodstuff Provision Ceremony in Lashio Shan Literature and Culture Association Hall, the Chief Minster gave an opening speech and provided foodstuff for the displaced persons.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister and party proceed to Lashio Airport, inspected the renovation process of the airport and arrangements to repair 11 KV airport power line 2.

On the same day, the Chief Minister visited No.9 100-Bed Military Hospital, comforted the Tatmadawmen receiving treatments and provided nutritional supplements. He also visited Lashio Youth Training school, No.1 Basic Education High School, Industrial, Agricultural and Livestock breeding high school and inspected the learning condition of the students.

Next, the Chief Minister met with the State, District and Township departmental officials and coordinated requirements on reports presented by the officials regarding security, law enforcement, education, health and rehabilitation measures. During the tour, the Chief Minister also visited Maha Bawdar Yon Monastery, paid respect to the State Ovadacariya Sayadaw and donated offertories.
