Tour in India : President visit NETRA in Greater Noida

President U Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by officials, visited NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance-NETRA in Greater Noida of India on Sunday.

The President heard reports on the status of NETRA presented by official, followed by screening of a documentary video of NETRA. An official elaborated on the development of NETRA including reducing Carbon emission to Zero, Energy Transition project, implementation of CCUS, Green Hydrogen production, energy storage and solar energy system, as well as providing capacity training for Myanmar Skilled experts under the ITEC programmes.

Then, the President observed the scale models of various energy production processes including CO2 based Closed Brayton Cycle Energy Storage System, and asked what he wanted to know. Next, the President planted the tree commemorating the visit and posed for group photos together with Company Head and officials.

After that, the President viewed the NET Zero energy production process in NTPC and officials explained the electricity producing from solar, hydrogen, wastes and battery storage system. NETRA is a branch of NPC Limited, one of India’s largest integrated power utility, and mainly conducted research and development sector. It also emphasizes on technology innovation for energy sector.
