Tour in India : Cooperation in film and media industries

Union Minister for Information U Htein Lin visited Chennai and Hyderabad, India to discuss cooperation in developing Myanmar’s film and media industries through digital technology and digital preservation of old films and movies.

In Chennai on August 14, the Union Minister visited Prasad Film Lab and observed film courses and digital preservation technologies. He discussed cooperation on systematically preserving of films at Myanmar’s film archives and conducting film and media training courses.

On the 15th, the Union Minister visited Prasad Film Lab’s post-production facilities and an IMAX theatre and mall in Hyderabad. They discussed film sector cooperation and using media to promote rural development, agriculture and waste-to-energy education. In the evening, the delegation proceeded to T-Hub (Technology Hub), met officials and discussed information technology matters.
