Thousands of residents in NghệAn are helping restore the giant “BácHồSốngMãi” (Uncle Ho Lives On) letters on Nhón Mountain.

First built in 1969 by young people from 12 communes, the landmark has deteriorated over the years. More than 4,000 volunteers are now helping rebuild it, carrying concrete slabs weighing over 20 kilograms up the mountain by hand. Nearly 3,000 concrete slabs and other materials have been transported to the site. The restoration is expected to be completed before Vietnam’s National Day on September 2.
