Thingyan in Magwe: Chief Minister enjoyed the Water Festival

Magwe Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and officials attended the opening ceremony of Thingyan Water Pandal at Magwe Air Base on 14th April.

After formal opening of the pandal, the Chief Minister and party sprinkled the scented water to the members of dance troupes who perform the Thingyan dance.

The Chief Minister and party later proceeded to the pandals of Advocate General Office, Ministry of Ethnic Affairs, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Ministry of Social Affairs, and enjoyed the performances of dance troupes.

They also viewed the revelers, enjoying water throwing at the pandals. In Magwe Region, 7 pandals including the central pandal and 6 pandals of the ministries have been set up for Thingyan Water Festival, and winners of dance troupes will be awarded on the final day of the festival.
