Thailand and Singapore to deepen defense ties

Thailand and Singapore have pledged to elevate their long-standing defense partnership, targeting new cooperation in cyber security and the protection of critical subsea infrastructure. The discussions followed a meeting in Bangkok between Thai Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Adul Boonthamcharoen and his Singaporean counterpart, Chan Chun Sing, who is on his first official visit to Thailand since assuming his post.

The two ministers discussed enhancing security cooperation based on long-standing mutual trust and strategic partnership. The talks covered plans to elevate military ties across multiple dimensions, including joint exercises, defense industry development, and cyber security.
