Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul unveiled a high-tech roadmap for Thailand during his policy statement to parliament, positioning AI and digital innovation as the primary engines for economic competition.

Under a five-pillar “cluster” management strategy, the government aims to modernize sectors from agriculture to tourism while setting a definitive goal for Thailand to join the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development by 2028. To provide immediate relief, Anutin announced the co-payment scheme designed to boost domestic consumption while mandating digital upskilling for participants.
