Terrorists Attack: Monastery In Myaing Township Destroyed

The PDF terrorists destroyed a monastery in SoKan Village in Myaing Township of Magwe Region.

On 3rd January, about 20 PDF terrorists, with guns in their hands, entered in the compound of SoKan Monastery. The Presiding Sayadaw fled away taking young novices with hime to the safe place. The terrorists tried to destroy a vehicle by two improvised mines but it left unexploded.

The terrorists also took two mobilephones from the monk who left in the Ordination Hall. Due to gun fire in the monastery, a vehicle in the monastery was damaged. The two unexploded mines were deactivated later by the security forces. The Presiding Sayadaw and three novices and a monk who temporarily stays there, have been accommodated at the safe place.
