Technology and investment: Union Minister discussed with Russian officials

Myanmar delegation led by the Union Minister for Electricity and Energy U Aung Than Oo who are in Moscow, the capital city of Russia Federation to attend Russian Energy Week International Forum (REW) 2021, received the responsible officials from the companies and organizations related to the electricity and energy sector and discussed the matters on bilateral investment on October 12.

First, the Union Minister and party met with the responsible officials of TMK Company at 10:30 a.m. and viewed the presentation on the inland oil pipelines construction technologies and experiences and inquired the facts that they wanted to know.

Next, the Union Minister and entourage cordially discussed with a group led by Mr. Sergey Kulagin who is a responsible official from Russia-Myanmar Association for Friendship and Cooperation on the matters of technological development for electricity and energy, production and installation of “INSET” brand small and middle hydropower plants and the mechanical operation of high efficiency thermal power plants.

Afterward, the Union Minister and members mutually exchanged views with the officials from PSB Bank and CEO of STG-E Engineering on the matters of banking services, procedures, future investment, crude oil extractions and engineering technologies. Then, the Union Minister and party discussed with an official from LLC (DOLSPECEXPORT) on the investment opportunities in the electricity and energy sector and cooperation for the technological development.
