




The Yangon Region Education Office, under the Ministry of Education conducts the Basic Education Teacher Training in Industrial, Agriculture, and Livestock subjects for the 2026–2027 academic year.
The opening ceremony of the training course was held on Friday at Basic Education High School (7) in Insein Township.
San San Win, Director (Education), Yangon Region Education Office said "Today’s event is part of the nationwide training courses conducted across five designated zones in Myanmar. The industrial course includes three subjects—industrial mechanics, electrical, and drawing—with six instructors for each subject, totaling 18 instructors. Additionally, six instructors are assigned for agriculture and six for livestock breeding."
A total of 312 teachers are attending the training course, which will run from May 14 to May 18, covering both theory and practical teaching methods.
Dr. Htet Wai Wai Kyaw, Yezin Agricultural University, Professor said "We are providing basic knowledge on agriculture for Grade-6 students. This includes topics such as farming, gardening, locally significant crops, imported crops, vegetables, soil management, plant diseases, and prevention measures."
The trainees include 99 teachers from Yangon Region, 204 from Ayeyawady Region, and 9 from Rakhine State.
Zarni Bo, Basic Education Middle School (Pulu Nyaung Wine), Science Teacher said "A total of eight teachers from Eainme Township are attending the training, and I am leading our team. We have been provided with lectures in industrial, agriculture, and livestock subjects. Among these, agriculture is my favorite subject."
The training program aims to strengthen teachers’ knowledge and practical skills, enabling them to effectively teach students in industrial, agriculture, and livestock subjects across Myanmar.
